Application Procedures

Sierra Canyon School is currently accepting applications for Fall 2011.

Applicants Entering
Early Kindergarten and Kindergarten

PLEASE NOTE: Applicants for Early Kindergarten must be 4 years old, and applicants for Kindergarten must be 5 years old by July 1 of the year they enter Sierra Canyon School.

The following must be submitted to Sierra Canyon School by mail or hand delivery:

• $150 non-refundable application fee by check, money order payable to Sierra Canyon School
• Applicant/Family Information Form
• Family Statement
• Schedule a Parent/Guardian meeting with the Admissions Office
• Attend a group tour of the School
• Request for Financial Aid Application (if you intend to apply for need-based aid)

Deliver to the applicant's current school:

• Confidential Teacher Recommendation Form for applicant's current teacher to complete
• Confidential Administrative Recommendation Form for the Head, Principal, or Director of applicant's current school to complete
• Official Transcript/Progress Report Release Form for applicant's current school registrar/office to complete

Evaluations
The Admissions Office will contact you following receipt of application to schedule your child's evaluation date.

Admissions Test
Register to take the ISEE admissions test. You may register online at www.iseetest.org or by filling out the registration form and submitting to ERB in the envelope provided in the ISEE packet. You must have test scores sent directly to Sierra Canyon School. Our school code is 054121.

Interview
Upon receipt of your application, the Admissions Office will contact you in regards to scheduling your son or daughter's interview.

Applicants Entering Grades 7 through 12

• Attend a tour of the Middle and Upper School Campus
• Register to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Sierra Canyon School's code is 054121.
• Fill out the Application by hand and attach a small photograph of yourself.
• Parents should fill out the areas directed to them.
• Submit the Financial Aid Form in the envelope provided if applying for financial aid. You will receive additional materials at that time.
• Submit the recommendation forms to appropriate teachers and administrators.
