Educational Philosophy

The Sierra Canyon Lower School program is designed to challenge and inspire students within a supportive and nurturing environment. Students are guided to discover what it means to be responsible, active, and self-motivated learners who participate, contribute, and engage in their education. The School believes that learning experiences at this level should introduce critical thinking, effective communication skills, and should foster an understanding of what it means to be citizens of our local and global communities.
