Upper School Academic Awards
Community Service Award
The Service Learning Award is given to one student in the 10th grade and one in the 11th grade who demonstrate the highest level of sincere commitment toward the mission of outstanding citizenship in the greater community.
Trailblazer Award
Awarded to the outstanding male and female student athletes in recognition of their overall performance both on the playing field and in the classroom over the course of the past school year.
Head of School's List
Awarded to students who earn no grade below an A- during a semester.
Dean's List
Awarded to students who earn a GPA of 3.6 or higher during a semester.
Middle School Academic Awards
Blair Isrow Award
Given to the overall winner at the Sierra Canyon School Science Fair.
President’s Award for Educational Excellence
Awarded to students who meet the requirements at the end of the 8th grade year. Requirements:
- earn a 3.5 GPA every semester of middle school (up to and including the fall semester of 8th grade)
- achieve in the 85th percentile or higher in math or reading on a standardized test in math or reading
California Junior Scholarship Federation
The California Junior Scholarship Federation, or CJSF, recognizes students who possess high standards and are accomplished in academic scholarship, community service and citizenship. The organization promotes the education of academically motivated students, encouraging them to get involved in their communities through volunteer service. Sierra Canyon is one of approximately one thousand chapters located across the state, and membership into our chapter is based upon grades and good citizenship.
