Chase Laski, SC '18, Meets U.S. Ambassador

Sierra Canyon junior Chase Laski had the opportunity to meet United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power.

Chase, who is interested in intelligence and diplomacy, shares her experiences from her meeting with Powers:
I had the amazing opportunity to have a meeting with our United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Ambassador Samantha Power. This meeting came about because I am very interested in intelligence and diplomacy, both of which she uses in her daily job. Ambassador Power very generously gave me about 40 minutes of her time (I was expecting maybe five minutes), which was right after she stepped off a plane from South Korea to assure them that we (the U.S.) are supporting them in their time of uncertainty with North Korea and their threats. During the meeting, I asked her many questions and she guided me on what the smartest steps were to take in achieving my diplomatic goals, and how she approached it herself. Overall, it was a very successful meeting and I was very fortunate to have this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Congratulations on your exciting meeting, Chase - we are confident that you will achieve your future career goals!
