Beginning Spanish

Beginning Spanish

Sierra Canyon will offer Beginning Spanish to the students who fall into the following categories:

  • For students who have never been exposed to Spanish, this class will offer an introduction to basic language concepts that will help the student feel comfortable in their first Spanish class of the school year.
  • For rising 7th grade students who have just finished a year of Latin, this class will serve as a review of things learned in elementary Spanish and much more. 
  • For students who simply want the chance to practice, stay sharp, and use study skills relevant to learning a foreign language.

Important Information

This class introduces and/or reinforces Spanish language concepts to students new to Spanish or for students who need an extra review. The following concepts will be covered:

  • Vocabulary Building
  • Grammar Rules
  • Punctuation
  • Conjugation Practice
  • Culture
  • Mnemonic Devices, Patterns, & Other Language Learning Hacks
  • Games, Fun, y más!
