Decoding Shakespeare

Decoding Shakespeare - Course Description

Learn how to select, study, interpret, and perform a Shakespearean soliloquy, monologue, or sonnet during a five-day Shakespearean soliloquy/monologue workshop. During this intensive, students will learn how to identify and use all the clues Shakespeare has left in his verse and prose to achieve a deeper understanding of the text, connect emotionally to the piece, and create fully three-dimensional characters. A great experience for aspiring thespians as well as English students who are looking to crack William Shakespeare’s code. Mr. Armstrong brings with him his boundless enthusiasm for Shakespeare as well as his experience as an actor who trained and performed at The Stratford Shakespeare Festival, the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, and Steppenwolf, to name a few production companies.
