Leadership - Course Description

Oral Communication is fundamental to academic and career success (NACE, 2020). This course will have students practice public speaking, critical listening, note-taking, and team-building skills to make effective public speeches, lead clubs/organizations, multimedia presentations, and college/internship interviews.
This course is designed for students who are looking to take their communication skills to the next level. The week will involve individual and small group practices featuring extemporaneous speeches, roundtable discussions, town hall meetings, class, and school/community group simulations, resume design sessions with a comprehensive review, and mock interviews.
