Mathematicians

Course Description

Who are the people that developed and applied mathematics around the world? What drew them to study those topics? This course will prompt students with questions and resources to highlight the diverse mathematicians in history from around the world and then invite them to do self-directed research into the characters that spark their interest. Students will produce posters and/or presentations to share what they have learned and engage in small-group discussions about some of the interesting philosophical questions that arise.

Should you have any questions about the course, please reach out to Ms. Bryan, rbryan@sierracanyonschool.org.
