Skeptic Society

Skeptic Society - Course Description

The Skeptic Society is a 2-week course (4x/week) aimed at Middle School-aged students. What exactly is a skeptic? Skepticism is the application of reason to any and all ideas. It is a method, not a position. Skeptics should go into an investigation with an open mind. Modern skepticism is embodied in the scientific method that involves gathering data to test explanations for natural phenomena (Skeptic Magazine, 2006).
