STEM Quest

Course Description

In this program, students will participate in engineering design challenges to understand how criteria, constraints, and processes affect designs. Some of the challenges that students will be able to explore during this course are green-energy mobiles, rocket launchers, space landers, pinball machines, hydraulic elevators, and more. Students will also be introduced to a web-based STEM competition called eCYBERMISSION, a team competition where each group can have 2 – 4 members. If interested in competing, students will be given guidance and resources during the two weeks to help them get an early start. When the fall semester starts, teams will meet with their advisor (a Sierra Canyon science teacher) to register for the competition and oversee their progress before the project submission in March 2024. Please check out the website for more information.

If you have any questions regarding this course, please feel free to Mrs. Lee at tlee@sierracanyonschool.org.
