Visiting Opportunities

As you embark on this exciting and important journey of finding the right school for your family, we strongly encourage you to become as familiar as possible with Sierra Canyon. You are welcome to participate in any or all of our visiting opportunities.

Lower Campus

  • Schedule a Private Tour

    All parents are invited to schedule a private tour of our beautiful campus. This opportunity gives prospective families a true glimpse of our community in action and a chance to meet with an Admission Committee member. These personalized visits are designed for parents and last a little over an hour. They are conducted during school hours.

    ***If you are a prospective Lower Campus family interested in also touring our Upper Campus, please contact Heidi, and she will be happy to share visiting opportunities with you that might work for your schedule. Additionally, Lower Campus families are also welcome to register for the Upper Campus Preview on November 2nd at 9:00 am. (Students in 5th and 6th grade are invited to attend with the parents.)   • Register for our Campus Preview, Grades Pre-K—6

    We invite all families to join us for an informative, fun-filled Saturday morning on November 16th. Parents will have the opportunity to visit our beautiful campus, meet our dynamic faculty and staff, and learn more about our exceptional community and academic programs. Students entering grades 3-6 are encouraged to attend with their parents to get a taste of what an imaginative and collaborative learning experience at Sierra Canyon is like. (We are happy to provide childcare for students entering Pre-Kindergarten through grade 2. If you don't anticipate your child having separation issues, he or she can enjoy a play-date with our nurturing primary grade teachers.)

    Dr. Michael Wetter: Promoting Resilience in the Face of Challenge: How parents can help their kids turn stress to success – February 6th, 9:00 a.m., Upper Campus Library
    Lower Campus Performing Arts
    A Nutritional Journey through the Digestive System (a 2nd grade production) - February 12th, 2:00 p.m., Lower Campus Amphitheater  

    Native Ways
     (a 3rd grade production) – March 4th, 2:00 p.m., Lower Campus Amphitheater
    Upper Campus Performing Arts
    SCENE  (an 8th-12th production, best suited for grades 6-12) March 6 and 7 at 7:00 p.m., Upper Campus Black Box Theater.
    This production includes three shorts: The Pablo Neruda Project (bi-lingual), an excerpt from Bus Stop by William Inge, and Ferris Wheel by Mary Miller.

    The 24 Hour Play Project (a 9th - 12th production, best suited for grades 4-12) - April 25th, 7:00 p.m., Upper Campus Black Box Theater
    This unique production is composed of short plays written, directed, and performed by students with a one-day rehearsal period. Entrance to this performance is a can of food for the food bank.

Upper Campus

  • Upper Campus Tours

    Middle and Upper School tours are available on weekday mornings.

    Students who have submitted applications are welcome to be our guest and shadow a current student for a morning. Limited spaces are available. Visits are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis until all of the shadow appointments get booked. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply earlyand before the application deadline to schedule an appointment.
