Intro to the Arts Faculty: Jeremy Foldesy

This week, The Trailblazer is proud to present the first installment of the Intro to the Arts Department series.

Visual Arts Department Chair Wendy Northup says, "Jeremy Foldesy is one of two new faculty members in the Visual Arts Department on the Upper Campus. He moved here this summer from Philadelphia after teaching for 11 years at St. Joseph's Preparatory School. Jeremy is teaching photography, two levels of drawing and painting, as well as 7th Grade rotation."
Below, Mr. Foldesy describes a recent project he assigned to his students. The images to the right are some of the students' submitted projects.
The Remote Learning Expression Project was a week-long assignment for the Drawing and Painting II students. I developed this project because I wanted to learn how students are processing this entirely new landscape in education. The students were asked to reflect on both the negatives and positives of remote learning and create one or two images that visually express these two sides.
