ASB and SCSPA Host All School Holiday Party

Last Friday, the Sierra Canyon Community came together to enjoy the holiday season as one large family.
The event featured musical solos, duets, poems, and instrumental performances. It was capped off by the SC orchestra/band. The broad range of performances demonstrated the inclusivity of our community and it’s stunningly talented students.
The Associated Student Body Government would like to thank the Parent Association for their amazing support and commitment to making the event possible. By providing all of the food, and the hard work that goes on behind the scenes, the PA was critical in making the event a success. The ASB also wishes to send thanks to the following people for making the night possible:

  • Jason Lewis, our SC music instructor who not only conducted the SC orchestra/band, but tirelessly set up all of the sound equipment throughout the day.
  • Jeff Vaughn for running the sound board
  • Matt Smyrnos for setting up the beautiful lighting for the evening
  • Joan Rohrback and her science class for designing and building the six-foot snow flake that was used as the backdrop for the stage
  • Wendy Northup and the Art Department for donating pieces of student art work
  • Julian Evjen
  • Jay Miller
  • Nina Weston and the facilities crew for setting up and taking down the stage, the tables on the plaza, the heat lamps and the Christmas tree!

Thanks to everyone who donated for the silent auction to raise money for our local firefighters, as well as those who brought books for our book drive! Lastly, a special thanks goes to all of our student performers who were truly amazing and extremely talented!
We also want to thank you, the Sierra Canyon Community for making this largest Holiday Party in our history!
