French Students Compete at Cal State L.A.

Last Saturday, February 23rd, the 7th Annual French Poetry Recitation Contest was held at California State University, Los Angeles. 

All Los Angeles area French students in levels from French II – AP French, Native/near native speakers, and college level students were eligible to compete.
 
Sierra Canyon took 8 very talented French students to the event. Competitors were: Rayan Ansari ’21, Pierre Baza ’21, Clinton Kabani ’20, Jessica Levy ’20, Frankie Moseley ’22, Zach Thannum ’20, Lotte Van den hende ’20, and Wendy Wang ’19.
 
Prize winners were:
  • Native/near-native: Frankie Moseley ’22 - 1st place
  • Level 3: Rayan Ansari ’21 - 3rd place
  • Level 4/5/AP: Wendy Wang ’19 - 3rd place
