Lower Campus Amphitheater Gets Amazing Makeover by Parent, Emma Perez

Talented artist and Lower Campus parent, Emma Perez, mother of Natalia ’28, and Diego ’25, has been a fixture in the 6th Grade Amphitheater for many months now. She worked diligently on the steps with her headphones on as a beautiful image flourished beneath her.

This morning, the entire Lower Campus gathered for the unveiling of Perez’s incredible creation. They cheered and thanked her for the colorful image that now looks over the north end of campus. Students and faculty alike have visited her canvas one-by-one in the past weeks and left their handprints and footprints behind, for future Trailblazers to see.

Perez has been planning the project for many months now. Along with Upper Campus Art Instructor and sculptor, Ron Knepper, Perez fired over 1,400 tiles to complete the image that now graces the Lower Campus.

We are so grateful to Mrs. Perez for sharing her talent and this beautiful gift with Sierra Canyon!
