3rd Grade Welcomes Diwali with a Special Celebration

This week the Class of 2029 had a great time learning about Diwali!

Diwali, a five-day festival of lights, celebrates new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.

Sierra Canyon 3rd grade students had fun on Tuesday learning traditional dances and decorating their own special tea lights. The entire class enjoyed samosas and other treats that also make this holiday extra special.

Today marks the first official day of Diwali for many around the world and in our community. We wish new beginnings and a meaningful holiday to all who celebrate!
