Connor Gilmore '16 Selected for Stanford Exhibit

Connor Gilmore ’16 was recently selected for the exhibit Reversals: Sixth Annual Undergraduate Juried Exhibition, by Stanford's Department of Art and Art History.

Gilmore’s photograph, “Migration” will be on view October 1st through December 6th, at the Stanford Art Gallery. Students from all over the university were invited to submit works of art, from which the department’s distinguished panel of jury members selected the most original, accomplished, expressive, and meaningful. The spirit of the exhibit is one of community and collaboration, and of diverse artistic sensibilities that find expression on different scales through a variety of media

"The impetus behind this exhibit, entitled Reversals, is to evoke how art can provide meaningful perspective and raise challenging, multifaceted questions rather than indulge single-minded, single-focused resolutions, especially in an unprecedentedly polarizing culture. Please join our artists on their journey of continuous exploration and experiment, which bridges fields of interest and inquiry, and connects the intimacy of the studio space to the horizons of the world at large." -Jonathan Calm, Curator and Assistant Professor of Art Practice
