Sweet Spot Bakers Cooking Up New Treats Every Week

This week, The Trailblazer asked co-creators Hannah LaChapelle '25 and Ria Lala '25 about their Sweet Spot Baking Club's scrumptious success on the Upper Campus.

This school year, we decided to start a baking club! Both of us have a passion for baking, so we said, "Why not share it with our classmates?" With all the curveballs 2020 threw at us, one great opportunity we received was to start up this club. It is a perfect way to bond with your friends while baking up a storm in the kitchen.

Every Wednesday from 3:05 p.m.-4:45 p.m., we meet in the comfort of our own kitchens. We have about 20 members who love to bake just as much as we do. One of the things that makes the Sweet Spot Baking Club different from any other club is that we have options. You can choose if you want to come to specific meetings. In addition, we also have days where you can choose what to make, sometimes with a fun theme. Whether we are fooling around or frosting a cake, we always have a fantastic time while enjoying each other's company!

From cookies to cupcakes, from tarts to ALL our other great bakes, the Sweet Spot Baking Club has been quite the venture. We are so thankful to have shared our love and passion for confections with our friends and hope to do it for many years to come. We hope to see you at our next meeting!

With love and lemon bars,

Hannah and Ria
