LS Green Team Enjoys the Seasons of their Labor
The Lower School Green Team enjoyed a minty-sweet, homemade treat this week!
Under Mr. Johnson’s and Mrs. Lucid's guidance, the Green Team made mint ice cream using mint harvested from the SC garden. After combining all the needed ingredients, the students placed them into a bag of ice. After shaking for several minutes, the kiddos had mint-flavored ice cream to enjoy!
Next up for this sustainably-minded group was an herb garden project. Using recycled wood left over from previous projects, SC's maintenance crew made the garden bases. Next, Green Team members added soil and rocks to mason jars and placed various herb seeds inside. The final step was to paint the bases and take them home for families to enjoy!
