Lower School Celebrates Read Across America

One way to ensure reading remains a priority for our students is by actively devoting time to practice, practice, practice! As such, along with many other schools and young readers spanning the United States, the Lower Campus celebrated Read Across America Day by hosting a Lower School D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) event on Wednesday.

In doing so, students in each classroom on campus were able to celebrate and grow their collective identities as readers. For 20 minutes, everyone began their school day by independently reading a book of their choice. Students chose from a large variety of genres, including Historical Fiction, Realistic Fiction, Graphic Novels, Fantasy, and many more.

There’s nothing better than escaping into a good book. We love seeing Trailblazers learning to flex their imaginations through the written word!
