Middle School Service Benefits Chatsworth
This week, in honor of Earth Day, Sierra Canyon Middle School students and advisors participated in a community service project with Volunteers Cleaning Communities, a local organization focused on helping make the world a better, cleaner, environmentally friendly, and litter-free place.
Students were divided into groups and did clean-ups at Limekiln Canyon Park and the Chatsworth Train Station Depot. They raked and bagged leaves to beautify Chatsworth Street between Tampa and Wilbur.
Trailblazers also learned about keeping a neighborhood clean and how important it is to consistently support a litter-free environment. Later, the group reflected on their efforts and discussed what they can do to clean and maintain their neighborhoods. They also talked about doing similar service projects in the future.
