The Class of 2028 Looks Forward to Middle School

On Thursday evening, Sierra Canyon's 6th Grade Class said farewell to the Lower Campus in their Candle Lighting Ceremony held on the Football Field.

Members of the Class of 2028 have been practicing their I Am poems this week to recite them in front of families, friends, and teachers on Thursday evening as they officially celebrate their promotion to Middle School.

Head of School Jim Skrumbis, Lower School Director Kris Theodoratos, and Lower School Dean of Students Adam Horwitz, each lit one candle for the ceremony and shared their reflections on this special group of students as they move on to new horizons.

Mrs. Theo and Mr. Horwitz shared their final thoughts with attendees and students,

Dear 6th Grade Families,
Whether we have partnered with you during this 6th Grade experience, the past eight years, or somewhere in between, it has been a privilege to watch your children grow. We wish you safe travels as you embark on your next learning adventure. It has been an honor to be your guides.
All our love,
Mrs. Theo and Mr. Horwitz

Congratulations to the Class of 2028, and best wishes on your new adventures!
