HOT Take: Kindergarten Visits the Fire Station

Last Thursday, Kindergarten students suited up in their homemade helmets and visited Los Angeles Fire Station #28 in Porter Ranch.

SC Parent and resident firefighter at Station 28, Dominic Roux (Xavier ’33, Roman ’36), Captain Konish, and the entire team at the station shared important fire safety information with the Class of 2035. Students got a tour of the station and worked with partners to use a real firehose. They also learned about what to do in case of a fire.

The very next morning, everyone got to put the lessons they learned into practice as the Lower Campus held its very first fire drill of the year. A special thank you to the entire team at Station 28 and our stellar parent volunteers!
