Lower Campus Comes Together for Fun Assembly

Lower Campus students came together this morning for storytime, announcements, and a super exciting Halloween game!

Ms. Theo opened today's gathering by reading Hugo and the Impossible Thing by Renee Felice Smith and Chris Gabriel. Next, the Birthday Club led the crowd in singing Happy Birthday to everyone who has an October birthday. Mr. Johnson introduced the Green Team and shared about all the delicious vegetables growing in the Lower Campus Garden. Ms. Kaul and Ms. Slipock announced the first day of Diwali to students and spoke about what the holiday means.

To get ready for our upcoming Halloween festivities, Mr. Crosby introduced a game similar to Wheel of Fortune in which teachers came up to solve puzzles that gave clues about Halloween at Sierra Canyon. Ms. Veralrud played on behalf of Pre-K and Kindergarten, Ms. Samuels represented 1st and 2nd Grades, Ms. Ochoa had 3rd and 4th Grades, while Dr. Dobbs played for 5th and 6th Grades.

Students had a blast cheering for their teachers, and in the end, Ms. Samuels' team of 1st and 2nd Grades were the big winners, with some special treats coming their way. Thank you for playing, Sierra Canyon!
