Cum Laude Induction Ceremony

On Wednesday, May 2nd, a group of 23 juniors and seniors were inducted into Sierra Canyon’s chapter of the Cum Laude Society.

These students represent the top 10% and 20% of their class respectively and were chosen for their academic achievement and scholarly pursuits.

At the Upper School Induction Ceremony, honorees received their Cum Laude Society pins from Head of School, Jim Skrumbis. The faculty address was given by Director of College Counseling, Stephanie Rubin, who spoke to the students about the importance of mentorship. Rubin said, “As you contemplate your future, remember the importance of seeking guidance from someone who has already been there. Take advantage of the experience, knowledge, and wisdom of the Sierra Canyon faculty.”

Honored students and their families attended a celebratory lunch in the Lower School Rubin Family Library. The student speaker was a senior and 2017 Cum Laude Inductee, Carley Goldfarb '18, who praised the students for their academic achievement.

Congratulations to the new and current members of the Cum Laude Society on this remarkable accomplishment.
