Lower School's New Innovative Technology Lab
This spring, the Lower Campus unveiled the newly renovated Technology Lab. The Tech Lab, run by Mick Donahue, Lower School Technology Specialist, boasts new features such as, a 3D printer, virtual reality station, green screen for filmmaking, as well as a stop animation filming station.
“The kids are so intrigued by these additions to the lab, especially the 3D printer,” said Donahue. “They immediately want to know how they can design something that can get 3D printed.”
Over the summer, new curriculum will be created to best utilize all of the new features of the lab. These units will include 3D design, introductory elements of mechanical engineering, and computer-aided design (CAD).
