LAPD VISITS LOWER CAMPUS FOR MEET AND GREET WITH STUDENTS

On Tuesday, October 9th, members of the Los Angeles Police Department were on hand at the Lower Campus to meet students, answer questions and even give them some inside information on what it’s like to patrol the streets of your community every day.
Students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 6 had an opportunity to sit inside police cars or sit on police motorcycles and even take a tour of a mobile police station. It was a morning of entertainment and education for all grade levels. Charly Lesner ’25 thought the whole thing was a great learning experience, and it was “interesting to see what they do every day and learn about their jobs.”
Director of Security, Rob Mazzuca helped organize the visit and thought the interactions were just as enjoyable for the members of the Police Department. “It was a great bonding event all around.” Afterwards, the visitors went home with homemade care packages from the SCSPA!
