SC Grads Return for 2019 Alumni Day

Juniors and Seniors had a chance to get the real scoop on college from several of their former classmates this week at Wednesday’s Community Time on the Upper Campus.

Chase Laski ’18 (Colgate University), John Markham ’16 (UC Berkeley), Lauren Onelum ’18 (Barnard College), Simone Onelum ’17 (USC), Emerson Tenney ’16 (Brown University), and Luke Zaelke ’18 (Hamilton College), came back to participate in the Alumni Day Panel, where they had a chance to tell current juniors and seniors everything they wish they had known before heading off to college after graduation. Topics covered by the panel included, moving to the east coast for college vs. staying close to home, dealing with roommates, academic loads, how often they talk to or see their parents, on campus social life and the Greek system and so much more! Students got plenty of good advice, including tips on how to stay in control of your time management and acclimating to a new city/environment. After the panel’s presentation, they had lunch together in Founders Union with the College Counseling Department and had a chance to catch up with former teachers and friends.
