Financial Aid Coordinator, Business Office and Payroll Assistant

Department:  Business Office
Reports to:  Chief Financial and Operating Officer
Status: Salaried/Exempt, Benefited, Professional Staff
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Three (3) years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities.
  • Experience working in a Business Office setting in an educational environment.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; capable of drafting and editing correspondence and written materials.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that lead to the cultivation of relationships with parents and colleagues.
  • Ability to effectively manage sensitive and confidential situations with integrity.
  • Highly organized with an ability to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Knowledge of Blackbaud NXT preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As assigned and may be altered, added to and are not limited to:
  • Establish and maintain deadlines for submission of financial aid applications and supporting documents.
  • Update SSS/TADS website to show financial aid grants awarded.
  • Create contracts for re-enrolling and new families, as well as international families, adjusting financial aid to reflect their awards.
  • Monitor return of enrollment contracts, deposits and re-enrollment contracts.
  • Maintain open and efficient communication with new and current families submitting financial aid applications, guiding them through the process and reminding them of deadlines and missing documents.
  • Analyze financial aid applications utilizing the online system SSS/TADS and prepare recommended awards.
  • Assist the Admission Offices with clerical work and admission events.
  • Assist HR Director with semi-monthly payroll processing.

Salary Information
$60,000 - $75,000
