Student Activities

The Lower Campus fosters creation and innovation. Lower School students are encouraged to participate in initiatives that speak to their interests and passions.

Student Government

The purpose of Student Council is to provide an opportunity for students to make decisions about activities and projects that will be enjoyable and beneficial to the student body. In addition to spirit activities, Student Council plans philanthropic or service projects in which all students may participate.

Beginning in 3rd grade, each homeroom elects a representative. Students in 5th and 6th grade are eligible to hold an office, however, the positions of President and Vice President are reserved for 6th grade students.

Math Teams

Sierra Canyon Lower Campus math teams meet to practice every week before and after school.  Teams meet in Kindergarten through grade 2, grades 3 and 4, and grades 5 and 6 configurations.  All math team members enjoy a Beast Academy subscription and take part in many different contests starting in Kindergarten including the Caribou Cup, Math Kangaroo, Noetic Learning, and many more.  Any students in grades 5 and 6 may also choose to be assistant coaches for the Kindergarten through grade 2 students.

After School Enrichment

The Lower Campus provides a professional teaching staff for our highly successful after school workshops. A wide array of activities are offered such as coding, film academy, sports and fitness, karate, chess, science, magic, cooking, dance, and crafts. Two different sessions are offered during the course of the year. A brochure precedes each session and provides information about each workshop and its instructor.

Members attend morning meeting twice a month.

Birthday Club

The Birthday Club is an organization designed to acknowledge student and staff birthdays. Members of the Birthday Club attend weekly meetings where they take part in discussions, prepare items for weekly birthday giveaways, and present at school assemblies.
