6th Grade STEAM Passes on Recycling Knowledge

The Leadership section of the 6th grade STEAM rotation brought rebooted recycling bins to Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and 1st grade classrooms this week.

The 6th grade students outfitted each bin with information, including pictures of what can and cannot be recycled. They were greeted by our beaming primary elementary classes with shouts of "Look, 6th graders are here!" The visiting big kids responded in kind by seizing the enthusiastic engagement to instruct on best practices of recycling and answer questions from our eager little learners. These were inspiring moments, 6th grade students reinforcing what they had learned about limiting landfill and responsibly recycling while passing the proverbial baton to our youngest Trailblazers regarding eco-literacy.
