AP Art History Visits the Getty Center

On Tuesday, February 4th, Ms. Northup's AP Art History class headed over the hill to spend some time at the Getty Center.

This is the third year Ms. Northup's AP Art History class has had the pleasure of participating in this trip to the Getty. Museum Educator, Lilit Sayoyan, led the students in discussions about selected works of art.

The class has just begun studying the Baroque period, and it was a treat to see a Bernini sculpture up close along with a Rembrandt painting. Ms. Northup was very proud of the insightful questions asked by her students and she feels they all left with a deeper understanding of how to look at art.
