Sierra Canyon School is proud to announce that it is in the process of acquiring a new property that will be developed into an athletic practice facility designed to support the daily experience, well-being, and quality-of-life of our students.
At its core, this new property will help create opportunities for students to practice at more appropriate times, reduce travel, and spend more time on campus. By expanding our dedicated practice facilities, Sierra Canyon aims to further support the physical and emotional well-being of its student-athletes.
The property, located at the northwest corner of Chatsworth Street and Canoga Avenue, will be transformed into a space that reflects both the natural character of the surrounding area and Sierra Canyon’s long-standing commitment to community partnership. The School is actively collaborating with the City of Los Angeles and area residents throughout the planning process to ensure the facility not only serves our students but considers the surrounding community thoughtfully and responsibly.
It is our hope that at the beginning of the 2027–2028 school year, the property will be partially operational as a practice facility. While the primary purpose of the space will remain focused on daily practices, Sierra Canyon is also working collaboratively with the City regarding future opportunities to host select and limited Varsity Tennis and Swim competitions.
As Sierra Canyon continues to grow, the School remains deeply committed to being a positive and conscientious member of the surrounding community. This investment reflects a belief that thoughtfully designed spaces can positively impact not only student life, but the broader community as well.

- An 8-lane pool designed to support swim and water polo
- Six tennis courts
- A 6-lane track and multipurpose field designed for football, soccer, lacrosse, and conditioning
