Game Design in Roblox

Course Description

In this course, students will learn how to build multiplayer games in Roblox Studio using the Lua programming language. In week 1, students will become familiar with text-based coding and the basic fundamentals of programming: variables, conditionals, loops, functions, and event handling. In week 2, students will begin to design their own games, learning about game design concepts such as the MDA framework, feedback loops, emergence and intentionality, and flow theory. By the end of the course, students will have several fully functioning games that they can share with friends and family.
