Service Learning

Making A Significant Difference

Service Learning teaches commitment, responsibility, organization, time management, leadership and the joy of giving to others. It provides opportunities for personal growth, constructive interactions, positive feelings and the development of lifelong skills. Students are empowered to see the significant impact they can have on the community as they learn the valuable habits of being productive volunteers.

Every Lower School student in Pre-Kindergarten through grade 6 participates in a grade level Service Learning project. These activities are curriculum based and are created and implemented by the grade level teachers and Service Learning Coordinator, Shelley Deutsch.
