Sierra Canyon came alive with color, energy, and celebration as families gathered in the Kardashian Jenner Pavilion for this year’s Bollywood Night, hosted by the South Asian Parent Community.
The evening began with a lively lineup of interactive experiences that invited guests of all ages to engage with South Asian culture in hands-on ways. Students and families moved between henna and bindi stations, posed for photos, and explored traditional games and crafts. While fully immersed in the sights, sounds, and traditions of the evening, the DJ kept the energy high with music that quickly turned the space into a dance floor.
Guests also enjoyed a fully catered dinner featuring a variety of Indian dishes, offering another way to experience the culture through flavor, before the evening culminated in a vibrant performance showcase featuring the Lower School Dance Company A/B and Upper Campus students Sophia T. ’26, Amani B. ’31, Syon C. ’30, and Zara M. ’31. Their performances brought storytelling, rhythm, and movement together in a way that captivated the audience and reflected the richness of Bollywood-inspired dance.
More than a single evening of entertainment, Bollywood Night reflected Sierra Canyon’s commitment to creating opportunities for students to engage with global culture in meaningful, experiential ways—bringing learning to life through community, creativity, and shared celebration.
Thank you to the South Asian Parent Community and all of our talented student performers for another incredible Bollywood Night!
