On Wednesday, June 3, the Sierra Canyon community gathered in the Kardashian Jenner Pavilion for a milestone ceremony celebrating the Class of 2032 as they were officially promoted to Middle School.

Incoming Head of School Stephanie Rubin opened the evening by welcoming families and faculty to the celebration. In a nod to tradition, Mrs. Rubin was joined on stage by Sierra Canyon Co-Founder Howard Wang to light the first candle together, bridging the School’s history with the evolution of its newest Middle Schoolers. This year’s theme, "Unlimited," anchored the celebration and reminded students of the endless possibilities awaiting them as they transition to the Upper Campus.

The heart of the evening belonged to the students, who each took the stage to recite an original I Am poem reflecting their identities and aspirations. Their voices were paired with a slideshow of early childhood portraits alongside current photos, showing their growth and shared journey on the Lower Campus.

Lower School Director Kristine Theodoratos and Middle School Director Lindsay Koss shared reflections celebrating the class's collective spirit. In her address, Mrs. Theodoratos offered advice on stepping into the unknown: "While confidence can breed action, we sometimes get that relationship backward. It is often in the action, the leap of faith, that results in greater confidence and continued motivation to try and try again... Be bold, be brave, and know your voice matters." Lower School Dean of Students Adam Horwitz closed the ceremony with a heartfelt farewell, sharing how proud the community is of their legacy and wishing them well on the journey ahead.

Congratulations to the Class of 2032!
