Sierra Canyon Equestrian riders Helena D. '28 and Brooklyn S. '30 took home the High Point Team Average Per Rider trophy at this year's Interscholastic Equestrian League (IEL) Championships.

Held at Hansen Dam Horse Park on May 15–16, the championships capped an already incredible riding season for Helena and Brooklyn. Competing at four IEL Gold Coast shows from October to April, the dynamic duo elevated SC Equestrian to sixth overall out of 50 schools, with the trophy win serving as a fitting finale, and final standings still pending.

In the Varsity Division, Helena and her horse Candescent have shone across all three disciplines — Equitation, Jumpers, and Hunters — and she currently sits third overall with 132 points. In the Novice Division, eighth-grader Brooklyn and her horse Dalerno are in fifth place overall with 111 points.

Congratulations to Helena and Brooklyn on this well-earned honor. Sierra Canyon now has the privilege of displaying the engraved trophy, which travels from champion to champion for an entire year, until the Trailblazers defend it again next May.
