Sierra Canyon Football scored a major win off the field this week, earning first place in the Nike TEAM West 2025 Football Social Media Contest—one of only three high school programs across five Western states to claim the top prize of $3,000 in Nike retail compensation.
Sierra Canyon's submission was a 42-second cinematic video, directed by Trailblazer alum and Lifer Easton Zelinsky, Class of 2025, and executive produced by Sports Communications Director Mitch Getz. Posted on the Sierra Canyon Athletics Instagram page, the piece impressed judges with its creativity, inspirational feel, and emphasis on the program's Nike partnership and uniforms.
Under the stadium lights, Havon F. '26, Chase E. '26, Ethan H. '29, and Damion G. '29 were featured in the shoot, helping to bring the vision to life. Easton leaned into storytelling, weaving in the perspective of a young Lower School fan dreaming of one day wearing a Trailblazer uniform.
"This video was by far my favorite that I have made for Sierra Canyon," said Easton, now in his first year at Indiana University. "I had full creative freedom, and I ran with that. I am so beyond grateful that Sierra Canyon trusted me with this, and proud that this vision came to life."
Nike TEAM West Territory Manager Krista Ford explained, "[The prize] is intended to reward the efforts of your football program in showcasing passion for Sierra Canyon Football and Nike."
With the season underway, the honor adds momentum to a program already building excitement both on and off the field.
