The Class of 2025 marked a meaningful milestone last week as Sierra Canyon celebrated its newest graduates with a ceremony that honored both a proud ending and a promising new beginning.
On Thursday, May 22, families, faculty, and friends filled the Sierra Canyon Stadium as the 12th Grade Commencement Ceremony honored the accomplishments of the Class of 2025. Head of School Jim Skrumbis addressed the graduates on behalf of the faculty, recognizing their achievements and growth. Valedictorian Michael X. and Salutatorian Naz "Melissa" E. delivered heartfelt speeches reflecting their shared journey and the class's readiness to embrace the opportunities and challenges ahead.
“Keep fighting, keep learning, keep pivoting. The journey ahead is yours to shape,” offered Vimal Lala, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The Class of 2025 has already begun doing just that—this year, 132 seniors submitted applications to 266 colleges and universities and were admitted to 215 institutions nationwide. These outcomes reflect the ambition, resilience, and readiness of a class poised to chart its own course.
