Sierra Canyon Middle School recently celebrated one of its signature programs: the Student Council Election and Clubs Fair.

Student Council has quickly become an integral part of the Middle School experience, inviting every student to participate, represent their peers, and help shape the community around them. This year, the student body elected Middle School President, Callie P. '31, and Co-Vice Presidents, Ian H. '31 and Rachel Q. '31. Together, they will work alongside school administration to build school spirit, organize events, represent their peers in decision-making, and ensure that every student's voice is heard.

The day also featured the Clubs Fair, where students could explore new interests, connect with peers, and step into other leadership roles. Students could sign up for Inkslinger, the Middle School's literary and art publication, try their hand at floral design, dive into Robotics, sharpen their skills on the Math or Chess Teams, take part in Ping Pong, or join spirited discussions in Pizza and Politics. With a balance of returning favorites and exciting new options, the Fair reflected how students can extend their learning and connections beyond the classroom. When Middle School students step into 9th Grade, they have the opportunity to generate and lead their own or partnered club. This year, in 9th-12th Grade, students and faculty have created 60 clubs!

Experiential learning plays a significant role in the Sierra Canyon experience, where students are encouraged to go beyond the classroom and stretch themselves in meaningful ways. These opportunities foster confidence and collaboration—propelling Trailblazers with the skills and character to thrive well beyond into their future.
