Throughout December, Sierra Canyon students across the Lower and Upper Campuses took the stage for a series of winter performances that showcased the breadth of the School’s Performing Arts program.

The Winter Music Showcase encompassed genres ranging from classic rock and alternative to R&B and contemporary, as well as ensemble pieces from The Phantom of the Opera and Appalachian Spring. Middle School students presented The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, displaying humor, pacing, and strong ensemble energy in a full theatrical production. The consistent theater experience at Sierra Canyon was evident both onstage and behind the scenes, illustrating how students collaborated to build the production together.
On the Lower Campus, the Winter Enrichment Performing Arts Show featured Lower School musicians, Choir, Step Team, and Dance Company in a dedicated performance for families. Students also brought Shrek the Musical to life on the Kardashian Jenner Pavilion stage, delivering a performance that was every bit as impressive. The season continued with the Winter Concert, where Pre-Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, and 6th Grade students performed holiday songs in English and Spanish, and concluded with a special visit from the Upper Campus All Star Singers, who treated Lower School students to festive holiday caroling.
These December performances highlighted the progress and shared goals of the Performing Arts program, emphasizing students’ dedication and the School’s support of their artistic journey. More showcases are set for spring.
